Shopify SEO problems we fix

Most Shopify stores share the same handful of SEO issues. If any of these sound familiar, there's growth being left on the table.

Duplicate product URLs

Shopify creates extra product URLs through collections, which splits ranking signals across copies of the same page.

Thin collection pages

Collections with a heading and a product grid, but nothing that tells Google — or shoppers — what the page is about.

Slow themes and too many apps

Every app adds code. Heavy themes and unused apps slow the store down, and speed affects both rankings and sales.

Missing product markup

Without structured data, Google can't show your reviews, price and stock status in search results.

Copied product descriptions

Manufacturer descriptions used on dozens of other stores give Google no reason to rank yours.

Filter and tag pages in Google

Filtered and tagged collection pages get indexed and compete with the pages you actually want to rank.

Ecommerce SEO FAQs

Is Shopify good for SEO?

Yes. Shopify gives you a solid foundation, but a few common issues — like duplicate product URLs, thin collection pages and slow apps — hold many stores back. They're all fixable.

Do you build or migrate Shopify stores?

No. We focus only on SEO for existing ecommerce stores. If a fix needs theme development, we'll spell out exactly what's needed for you or your developer.

What access do you need?

Collaborator access to your Shopify admin, plus Google Search Console and Google Analytics. Collaborator access means you don't need to share your password.

How long does ecommerce SEO take?

Technical fixes can show results within weeks. Stronger rankings and growth in organic revenue usually build over three to six months.

Will you add more apps to my store?

Only when there's no better option. We prefer fixes that keep your store fast, and we'll often suggest apps you can remove.

Do you work with stores not on Shopify?

Shopify is our focus, but we can help ecommerce stores on other platforms too. Tell us what you use on the call.
